CITRINE
Citrine Cathedrals are Geodes that have been cut in half and had the faces highly polished. Each Geode is uniquely shaped by nature over millions of years. These high quality Citrine Geodes are only found along the Brazilian - Uruguay border of South America. Each Geode started out as a gas bubble in a magmatic flow. In the following epoch, ground water would slowly permeate the cavity, depositing its dissolved minerals, slowly enough for the dissolved minerals to assemble into their unique crystal forms.
Citrine Crystals are six-sided hexagonal prisms usually ending into a very defined point. A quartz crystal displaying yellow to golden color tones is considered Citrine. The coloring is due to traces of iron and manganese minerals.
